Welcome to History with your host Mr. Gates
Welcome everyone, I am looking forward to another great school year. As I will be getting to know each of you I would like to share a few facts about myself. I enjoy sports, particularly football and basketball. I also enjoy playing video games when I have free time, which isn't often. Most of all though I love spending time with my family. To get a better idea of who I am and what types of things interest me check out the link below.

_Hello, My name is Mr. Gates. I have been teaching for 4 years now. I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 2014. I have a Major in History and a Major in Special Education, with an endorsement in cognitive impairment.
Technology in the Classroom
I strongly believe in the use of technology in the classroom. Technology can be an excellent tool to make education both entertaining and informative. As both a History and Special Education teacher technology is a priceless asset. With the effective use of technology students that may not have been able to function in certain classroom activities are afforded that opportunity. As a parent of a exceptional learner and a student it is essential to understand how technology can be used to aid in the educational process. I strongly believe in and strive to achieve the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T). Adhereing to and following these standards allows for the effective and appropriate use of technology in the classroom. To get an idea of some of the powerful ways in which technology can be used to aid diverse learners please view the following presentation. TECHNOLOGY FOR DIVERSE LEARNERS
